Beyond a Resume seeks a Research Associate with Molecular Biology experience to assist our early-stage biotech company focused on Animal Health.

Duties & Responsibilities:

-Performs a wide variety of complex experimental procedures involving cell biology, biochemistry, immunology and molecular biology techniques.

-Uses a wide variety of bioinformatics approaches, statistical methods, and computer programs to collect, organize, and analyze data for optimal retrieval and presentation of results in a clear, concise manner.

-Order reagents and supplies required for the laboratory

Qualifications:

-2+years of experience Biological Science with an emphasis in molecular techniques (molecular biology, biochemistry, toxicology, pharmacology, immunology, or similar)

-Experience in molecular biology techniques: nucleic acid extraction, PCR, protein characterization, gel electrophoresis, molecular cloning.

-Experience in cell engineering, including gene editing, cloning and expansion of stable cell lines for target evaluation

-A background in assay development, optimization, and validation.

-Ability to adapt and exercise flexibility for changing needs, workflows and projects

-Experience working in a start-up biotech is preferred

-Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

-Able to work in a small company atmosphere

-Able to work onsite for 40 hours a week
