Beyond a Resume is seeking a Downstream Scientist with process development experience to assist our leading conjugate vaccine client in Rockville, MD.

Duties & Responsibilities

-Well experienced in purification techniques and troubleshooting in a downstream environment

-Independently analyzes experimental data and discusses the interpretation, reliability, validity, and significance of ongoing projects.

-Downstream Scientist will help optimize purification of an E. coli protein

-Currently, client is running 1-2 L columns for production and do the optimization on 5-50 ml columns.

Qualifications

-ALL Degrees Considered(Client is more interested in hands-on experience)

-Experience in Downstream Techniques (Optimizing buffers, Purification, Flow Rates, Resins, etc)

-Experience with AKTA(preferably Unicorn 6 or higher software)

-Experience up to 50 L Columns

-Experience with help optimize purification of an E. coli protein

-Strong communications skills, both oral and written.

-Able to work in a small company atmosphere

-Able to work onsite for 40 hours a week

-Must be Vaccinated against COVID-19
